Polar bear plays with sled dogs

For the Awww category, Norbert Rosing’s striking images of a wild polar bear playing with sled dogs in the wilds of Canada’s Hudson Bay. The photographer was sure his huskies were doomed when the bear appeared out of nowhere.

But alas, no worries. An unlikely friendship ensued, with the bear returning every night to play with the dogs.
