I guess you could say it almost had everything. Once in a while there will be a film that offers so much, yet eliminates that one critical element that would put it over the top and make it complete. Viewing the film becomes an experience of noticing not what the film includes, but what it excludes.
That said, the only thing I found missing in Troy — that one magical element that would make the film complete — was a close-up shot of Brad Pitt’s chiseled, bronze, glistening nutbag.
