Getting our pimpage on at a ’70s themed holiday party for a buddy’s company. It was outta sight, including a live funk band, plenty of afros, and not nearly enough brown polyester. Far out.
Given the theme, there were a few attire approaches in consideration. I suppose we could’ve dressed up as KISS, but there wasn’t enough time for make-up. Another option would be to track down some blue Vans, cut-off Levi 501s, and a faded “Go Climb a Rock” t-shirt. As it turned out, all we really needed to do was raid the Regal Beagle section of Naylor’s existing wardrobe. We were good to boogie in a big way. Rolling hard in the mauve taupe.
I must say that those vintage leisure suits had something going on. They’re much more comfortable than they look, and the multi-layered configuration is particularly suited for our L.A. winter weather. I’m thinking about hitting eBay and getting one in every color. Maybe even pick up a fondue maker too.
shuh-WEEET.
i like that fake mustache!
So did Mike have to dress up?, he looks like that all the time.
hey man, is that johnny depp?
that suit looks pretty cool, even all these years after its time. you’d have found similar cuts and colors on rodeo drive during the past 5-8 years. shows the extent to which things go around and come around again.
Dude. Soooo Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
