I came across this pic through a drum community one day. I don’t know who it is, but from the looks of things, it looks to be sometime in the ’30s or ’40s.
Gongs, castenets, a triangle, a tambourine … I know how this guy feels. I’ve always been an advocate for simplicity, but once in a while, particularly in experimental solo drumming, there’s no such thing as too many options.

Very handy should you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to stick your helmet to the frame of an unfinished skyscraper.
