A friend of mine went to the opener yesterday, and sent some pix from last year.
A few pix of my Jack Russell niece, Scratch, during my visit to D.C. in 2004. She’s a mom now!

Opening Day in Yankee Stadium today.
Continued from this post, more pix of the 2004 tour. I’m finally starting to visit hundreds of digital pix I’ve taken in the last two years.

Another day at nearby Sunken City, right down the street here in our stomping grounds at the southern tip of San Pedro. The legendary spot’s located where Pacific Avenue ends at Paseo Del Mar near Point Fermin across from Angels Gate.
It’s one of my favorite places to unplug, go inward, and enjoy simultaneous views of the Los Angeles harbor, Catalina Island, and unbelievable sunsets. Lots of quiet energy here. The whole place oozes a history of beer parties, fights, falling accidents, and suicides.
In 1929, this large piece of urban land started slipping into the sea, eventually resting in the mid thirties. Another dude’s posted a nice batch of photos on Flickr.
