This is where it all started. Would’ve been 1974, Peck Park, Opening Day, Diamond 2, T-Ball Pirates. I batted lead-off. We played the Dodgers and lost, which ended up being a losing year. I think we came in last place. We redeemed ourselves in ’75, winning the championship. What’d we do next? We went to Disneyland. It was the month Space Mountain opened.
Other than a renumbering of the diamonds (they’ve swapped 2 with 3), nothing much has changed. Except our moms screamed louder than the women do today.

Meet the mellow Meloh, a combo of Chihuahua, Pomeranian, and Jack Russell Terrier.
I know, I asked the same thing. The math works like this: mom’s half Chihuahua, half Pomeranian; pop’s half Chihuahua, half Jack. So I guess that makes him half Chihuahua and a quarter of the other two. I think.
He’s really mellow. Most of the time.

From my digital camera, two unaltered shots of the same outdoor neon sign using “Fireworks show” and “Party/Indoor” settings respectively. Both had the flash setting on Auto. For the first one (Fireworks show), there’s obviously a longer exposure time, with no flash. The latter Party/Indoor shot set the flash off, with less exposure.

Here are some really horrible shots that I’ve rounded up, all taken with a bunch of cheap disposable cameras in Washington D.C., 2004.
