Several years ago, Jane suffered a serious concussion, and she created a multiplayer game to get through it, opening it up to anyone to play. In “Superbetter”, players set a goal (health or wellness) and invite others to play with them–and to keep them on track. While most games, and most videogames, have traditionally been about winning, we are now seeing increasing collaboration and games played together to solve problems.
Hooked up with my buddy Aram Ohanian for a couple hours at Chateau Marmont yesterday. He’s an actor, 31, 5’11”, 170, size 10 boot, was featured in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’, was a firefighter, believes in aliens, loves dogs, surfs 20-foot waves, and certainly fits the part of tormented codebreaker Pete Durante. Here he is spontaneously reading Pete’s first line as written in the Under Angels novel.
ANECDOTE: Aram and his gf at the time were literally the first two people M and I hung with as a married couple on 11/11/11. Just hours after the wedding, at Keoki’s Paradise, on Kauai.
