The Wynton Marsalis Septet takes jazz to a whole level of creativity and sound with their divine and inspired performances. 

Following the structure of a customary African-American Sunday service - right up to the dinner feast - the band lays out each number with the same passion and conviction.  Even the song titles reflect the influence and connection between a profound religious moment and a powerful musical one.  Soaring and upbeat one minute, meditative and melancholy the next, it isn't exactly gospel truth, but their music is undoubtedly a revelation.
