An important reminder from my buddy Rich.
Sometimes it is not enough for us to simply light a candle within our hearts and expect we can dispel the world’s darkness. Sadly, there are those times when the darkness is so strong it overshadows the light. That’s when it becomes our mission to find our way back to the true radiance of healing and community. This journey can be heartbreaking work; work that can fill us with confusion and rage. But this is the work of truly being alive: to find our way to love. So that the only arms we bear are those that embrace; not the ones that cut down the human race.
