Twitter turns 6 years old

Happy birthday, Twitter. Six years ago, you changed everything.

Remember when it was just us? And how everybody thought we were weird? Like we were getting excited about nothing?

And remember the days before “tweet” was even the word for it? Or “retweet”, for that matter?

And do you remember the day you established hashtags?

And y’member when you thought it would be smart to use the @ symbol to flag a user? Remember that?
