Meet the most beautiful dog on the planet. Kona joined me as a pup back in 1999 and has enriched my life beyond description. Isn’t she gorgeous?
She’s a pit-lab, weighing in at about 50 lbs. and change. She loves to swim in the ocean, she loves pesto chicken, and she’s horrified by the sounds of fireworks. She also has too many nicknames to list here.
Here are a few shots that capture what I see every day. This is one of our favorite spots, Angel’s Gate, near the Korean Bell, in our own backyard. We’d be here every day if there weren’t other equally cool spots nearby to spend quality time.
One of the things I fell in love with first with Kona were her ears. They can’t seem to figure out what they want to do. There have been countless priceless moments where she would gaze into the wind, and the wind would catch her ears like two little sails, standing them straight up in the air while the tips flutter. Yesterday I managed to snap a few shots that capture this. I’m very stoked:

this is so beautiful. what pictures! and yes, they are great shots of her ears. i am so glad you got them because i know how you loved them from the first. she is such a lucky dog. i know the time you have with her and the beauty of the setting has been a very special thing for you to share. how is she doing with little Sir Vivor. i love the name! i bet he is so cute.

I know those stomping grounds. Follow Gaffey to the beach, hang a right. Make third right up to the top of the hill and Ner is celebrating Xmas Eve.
Nice pictures, of the dogs! Got my own GSD pup and he just returned raving havoc at Havasu. Your pup definitely has GSD in it.
